A Few Details About Me

Kiki was rescued from extreme neglect. She is healthy, a local veterinarian helped with her rescue and will continue to help with her check-ups until one year after adoption.

Kiki was adopted as a puppy. Unfortunately, her adopter had serious medical issues that resulted in them having their liver transplanted, and their health had deteriorated over the years. Kiki is about 4-5 years of age and spent almost all of that in a backyard. Kiki's adopter did not have the energy to walk her and often did not feed her or spend any time with her. The adopters did have small children who would visit and play with her occasionally. She often would go several days without food. Her primary water source was rain or other sources. Kiki's adopter did not have the energy to clean after her, the backyard was covered in months, if not years, of dog feces. She was left out in the rain and cold. She hates being cold and very much prefers being inside to outside. She was with a temporary foster for a few weeks, where she quickly bonded with her and loved playing fetch, her dog bed, and getting belly rubs.

She had trouble with trust and new people entering her life. Kiki was put through our rescue board and train program to build her confidence and trust in people. She has so much love to give and is extremely playful. We do believe that she would be best in a home that could offer her indoor comfort and a schedule to follow. She is pretty active and loves to play and work. She has so much fun training and requires a household that could continue that for her. Kids are okay if they are older and understand boundaries. We'd recommend no other dogs in the household and an experienced dog owner, she is seeking all of your love and devotion.
